About Elf

Evelyn is very passionate about her eponymously named Foundation-The Evelyn Lozada Foundation (ELF). Founded by Evelyn in 2018, the goal is to unequivocally bring awareness and transform society’s response to issues that have a direct impact on the upliftment and empowerment of women and girls (health & wellness, education, entrepreneurship). All activities are conducted in the spirit of collaboration with existing nonprofits on the frontlines in their communities.  ELF's targeted age group is 18 years and up.

Although ELF is new to the philanthropic sector, we’ve been busy!  ELF ran an online funding campaign for 2 NY based nonprofits (Violence Intervention Program and Sauti Yetu), partnered with Giuseppe Zanotti for an ELF special event, partnered with clothier KidPik for a humanitarian visit to the Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico and we are a proud supporter of the NYC Domestic Violence Task Force. On June 20, 2018 Evelyn and her philanthropic work was acknowledged at the Hurricane Maria Conference (Washington, DC): Reflecting on Catastrophe and Preparing for the Future hosted by Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Congresswoman Nydia Vasquez (D-NY).  Team ELF was also delighted to participant in Surviving and Thriving 2018 hosted by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams; Fundraising Day in NY and UN Foundation’s Int’l Women’s Day. And recently ELF hosted “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” where single moms and their kids were able to enjoy an evening of getting dirty and having a good time! ELF and The Bronx Charter School hosted a roundtable discussion with domestic violence victims and survivors. Evelyn participated in domestic violence forum hosted by Assemblywoman Maritza Davilla (NY-District 53)

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Our Mission

The mission of The Evelyn Lozada Foundation is to transform society's response to domestic violence, support of survivors and the overall empowerment of women and girls (health & wellness, education, entrepreneurship). It is the foundation's intent to fulfill its mission in three ways:  Healing, Education and Advocacy.  All foundation activities will be conducted with the spirit of collaboration, supporting and affirming existing services for women residing in the Bronx as well as other regions of interest. An integral component of the foundation's work will be interactive-sharing information, coordination and participation in events with a cause.  ELF is committed and motivated to bring attention to "real" challenges facing women. Target age group is 18 years and up.

Our Vision

"I believe we all have a moral responsibility to help.  And helping should not only be associated with monetary value-being kind is just as important. Helping people has and will continue to feed my soul."
